I think the thing that is frustrating to hear is that no one's comments are even relevant to what I'm talking about.

I'm not looking to create any kind of master list for captions. I don't have a master list for all of the additions I use with narratives. I probably have about 30 different lists that I use in my inspection narratives showing locations, names of things, rooms they belong in, etc.

I just don't understand why a list can be set up, or several lists that populate underneath the caption portion of a photo. When you take a photograph with the mobile app, you're already slotting the photograph so that's done. Then, if you had a list just like the list that you used completed narrative that would populate in the photo caption section, how can that be a bad thing?

I get the fact that it will take a major shift in the masses to get anyone to even consider doing this. That's fine. But the thing that no one can seem to answer including Dominic, is that if the system works for a narrative, why won't work for a photo caption?

That's the part that just doesn't make sense to me. I spend him but load of time typing out captions. The current system to me is just like adding another narrative, it's just another line that you have to sift through. Putting all of your popular captions into an organized section like a drop-down list, to mean makes complete sense.

Drew perhaps you are not explaining well.
HIP already has a dropdown list for captions.
Now if you meant a two section dropdown for sentence building or something along those lines I might follow you.

Are you actually talking about a giant full page list like the text side ?

No, obviously you know how to create a list with a narrative the variable looks like this <<narrative variable>>.

What I am looking for is to create a second list at the end of a narrative, attached to each narrative for a relevant photo caption list.
let's say it looks like this %%photo caption variable%%. It would create the same type of drop down as a narrative adder would, but would populate in the photo caption area does, very similar to the word "Cover Photo" does in the mobile version. It would be PART of the narrative done while collecting data.

I just cannot understand why that wouldn't be better?

These are variables, or replacement values if you will.

Oh you want a sub list in the photo caption dropdown.

In other words a dropdown in the dropdown.

Instead of Front door is metal
..............Front door is
    ................................wood
    ................................iron
