Peter you would be adding to my misery of time consumption.
I want take photo...forget options....auto go back to take another with no options in between.

Interior-windows-take picture.
Not Interior - windows-click botton icon-click gallery / take a pictiure option-take picture-click save-click confirm-wipe out seach bar-go back and do all over .

With the cell it is faster only because you can one thumb everything and no need to wait for zoom.

Been thinking about using cell for material comments and Camera for issues just because of this.

Taking at least 150 shots each job and have decided that is my business model plus why I get hired often.
Been surveying clients and they love the photos.
Actually just changed my desktop template to a 3 across for this reason.

HIP has specialized in being the best photo report and fastest for inspectors so anything else would be backwards.

With the new release hopefully including "The new update has a direct to camera option that we're testing out" do you think using an android camera with the slow zoom lag will be quicker then using an android phone plus camera and then inserting these pictures into the report.

It is preferable to stick with one device if possible..
No doubt the shutter in and out increases time as when you use (normal camera function) on the S.A.C the zoom stays out for the second shot.

Unless there could be a way of keeping zoom out for rapid fire slotting the less click for save,gallery,confirm,etc the better.

Picture me at an inspection walking into a kitchen and taking shots of the stove,fridge,sink,cabinets,drains,exhaust fans,lights,GFCI's,floor,walls,general layout,shutoffs,etc.
That is a lot of shots in a very short period. (Count how many seconds between)

Evey time I must back track to Kitchen-floor,kitchen-counter ,etc and repeat the elaborate process when my normal digitials take a split second(spoiled ) my Sony HX series has instant focus...

Find myself quitting mobile and going to regular camera after about 20 shots all the time because of this.

Another example is multi unit inspections when I am running up three flights of stairs with an investor group and say (wait this takes a minute) lol
This is why also that I often start shooting outside of the mobile app.

Will not get into it but the thumb nails (would be cool) if we could click them for a normal view to see them. (could add notes off them later that way) and not need to wait for sync to secondary device.
That is down the road rant however....lol

With the new HIP release,  "The new update has a direct to camera option that we're testing out"  I hope this will make it more efficient to take the normal run of the mill defects that are found and perhaps use a second digital camera to take kitchen photos. however that introduces using multiple devices which is time consuming.

Want to move away from labtops and digital camera's, but the android camera device may not be just strong enough to cater for the increased programming that maybe required to achieve this.

Any short cuts will bring me back to using the camera as I need (want) to use it for slotting.
