TOPIC: Anyone using HIP in Western NY?

I did some research, and found a very nice, and according to his excellent website a highly qualified, experienced Home Inspector in the Buffalo area proficient with HIP who has offered to give me some "hands on" training. I meet with this gentlemen on Monday. I am so thankful and looking forward to his help.
Once I feel a bit more comfortable with the program, I hope to take advantage to the generous pricing Dominic is currently offering this holiday season and "own" it.....

My best tip that is not inside the tutorials for some reason and it is to slot your photos then create a photo PDF you can work off of while doing the text on split screen.
This avoids all that back and forth clicking stuff that drives me crazy.

Dave does room by room however I prefer to keep it simple for the reader and use system by system and take notes with my camera and video only.Bathroom and Kitchen are separate however.

How you produce the report will depend on your collection method.

What is the your average report time?

I am curious whom the inspector is he is doing the ride along. I would not mind seeing his sample report.

Dom tells me you are fast but that is not my only concern.
I take over 200 pictures at each job and over 300 at yesterdays plus a Hi def video of the roofs that I still shot off of with my HXV5 (best video in a camera you can buy)
Imagine me making a client sit down while I slot them and caption.
I am well known for my detailed reports so comparing times with you would be like you comparing with a simple checklist on paper guy .
Get my point?

Everyone has a style and it needs to be what works for them personally and professionally.(thats why I mentioned the style I use)
HIP is the best report software there is for picture based reporting and I am still not satisfied with it because I want to work off my pictures and not the other way around.
So far doing split screen is the best option till we have it customized to give a option for font and summery selection straight off what is a already quick photo edit machine.

I do not see myself ever doing on site and never will as if it takes a few hours at home then it takes a few hours on site and add that to the already 4 hour inspection on site would be painful for my Chicago clients.
Scheduling two or three a day would not be possible at that point.

Lets say I am faster, but it has taken 2 years and continually modifying my template.

Quality of the report is most important to me as well

I myself could would not be comfortable doing more than 2 inspections in a day.

I move around better collecting data on site.
