TOPIC: California Housing Picture Improving?

On my recent travels through the San Joaquin Central Valley, I've seen some amazing home prices up there.  I guess the rental market is getting hammered up there because of high unemployment in the farm labor community.  Everything has a 4Sale or 4Rent sign on it.  Wow, this state is all messed up!

There not worth as much as before can't do anything but sit on them. I never bought any when the prices where sky high but they have dropped a hell of a lot in value. Look what the State just announced the other day withholding  property tax and redevelopment money from the counties and cities that is going to hurt.

I agree Louie, cash flow is king, if you can keep them rented.

It's going to take a lot of pain before things get better. Gooberment is spending way to much, state and federal.

Davin, that is the Key keeping them rented we are starting to see a glut in rental properties. There are the bigger landlords that have large multi unit apartment buildings offering free flat screen Tv's if you lease a apartment.

Davin, as Will says it is going to get much worst before it gets better. The state is looking for corporate sponsors to help keep our parks open. Can you imagine the Sequoias being closed because of lack of funds. Orange county has there Fair grounds up for sale.
