TOPIC: California Housing Picture Improving?

Didn't you get a call about an inspection in Rosarito today?  I received a call from "Cynthia" today placing an order for an inspection down there.  I advised her I'd stop performing inspections in Mexico more than a year ago for safety reasons.  She asked for a referral and I gave her your information.

I've done maybe 30-40 inspections below the border over the years.  It's been crazy down there for the past two years.  My last one was a small hotel in La Paz in 07'.  It's a beautiful country, but run by criminals and drug dealers.  With all that, you run the risk of being car jacked or taken advantage of by the local police...

I never have done a inspection down there like you say before it was nice down there you could take the toy hauler and the Quads and have a good time but not now. the Drug cartel rules. They have had more deaths due to drugs in Mexico than we have lost in the Iraq war...

Nevada #1, California #2, Arizona #3, Florida #4.....  Rest of the country doesn't matter as those four states alone have enough horse power to drag down the housing industry and thus the economy.  There will be no rebound in the economy until the housing industry stabilizes in those four states....

Our housing market didn't get hit much all.  Our prices don't fluctuate like the East and West coast.  Sales did slow a bit.  But that's more from the financing side of things and the job market.  There are tons of houses on the market and tons of people looking to buy right now.  It has definitely turned into a buyers market though!
