TOPIC: How to speed up your computer, for free

Re: How to speed up your computer, for free 15 years 7 months ago #11008

Hey Marcel,

Like you said. The program runs fine on your Windows 2000 machine. You have a ton of free space! The program has very minimal requirements. Windows 7 is coming out which will replace Vista in a few months so you might want to wait as prices are going to drop.

You can pick out any Dell for $500 and get a great machine. Are you looking at a laptop to be mobile or a desktop?

Good to hear Dominic, and I prefer to stay with a regular PC, laptops don't turn me on right now, just dosen't fit with my schedule of building. Maybe later.
And would also stay with Del, this one has served me well. I am just afraid one of these days, it will die.
I have never shut it down in ten years.
I have been downloading as much info on discs that I can just in case something happens.
I will wait for the new model as you mentioned.
Thanks. :)

You've never shut it down ?!!?!? WOAH! Definitely make sure you backup. The average hard drive life (where your files are stored) is about 5 years so you're doing well.

Lucky I guess.  ;)

Is there a way to burn email folders that have been saved in the email section?
Two years as chairman of the Awards Committee, I have accummulated hundreds of emails from one person in particular that I would like to save for the future.
I just don't know quite how to go about it.
Thanks in advance.  :)

What program are you using to get your emails, Outlook, Outlook Express or something else?

Outlook express.
Tried to burn and when I look at the desktop, outlook express is not listed.
