HIP on PC:
1: When reviewing photos, can we get a third drop down tab for selecting locations. Right now my first tab is so long its confusing to find where I want to place the photo. The extra tab would be the list of sections at the top of the software like: Grounds/roof/interior/etc. It would make it easier when placing photos. If this isnt making sense, let me know and I will try to explain it better. 2: If that first item wasn't confusing, this one surely will be. When deciding where to put photos, the first drop down tab doesn't retain the location of where I initially decided to place it if I go back to change its location but the second tab does. Right now if I have selected the picture to go in "bathroom 1" and im looking through the second tab for tub but decide it needs to go in shower and i reclick the second tab, it will remember I had originally placed it in shower and highlight that. BUT if I decide I need to go back to the first tab to move the picture to "Bathroom 2" then the highlighted spot will be back at the top of the drop down forcing me to refind the bathrooms in the huge list of sections. |

Dom....
Batch add videos..... Cmon this is a no brainer batch add should insert all photos and videos in one shot from any selected location. I'm trying to create a report and not sit in front of this computer for hours... Issues I am struggling with .. I can't batch add videos into the template When I am forced to go make a thousand clicks to get me to the target folder to select my video to import to the template , I have to repeat the whole process yet again for each additional video ? Bollocks! This takes forever And to make matters even worse , while a video is being processed and imported you lock me out of any functionality in the software until it's completed.. Are you kidding me?? This is NOT a well thought out bit of kit there Dom.... I cannot even use the mobile version on my samsung android cameras anymore since the last update They freeze up every time... |

I'm importing and incorporating no less than 10 videos or more per inspection
You need to get the video into the template in an efficient manner |

Kevin, you need to set your video folder as a shortcut in Windows so you're not navigating all over. Drag the folder to the left in Windows when you click the Add Video button next time in the shortcut area. Then you can get there in one click.
When you're adding a video HIP has to convert the video format, resize it and adjust the quality. That's why the program stops other activity so it can process this. Just like any other video editor would. |

Dom
The video add feature has a cancel button which should allow you to abort the conversion.. It is non functional If I start a conversion and realize either I do not want that video or it's a duplicate I cannot stop it ... |

Dom I'm not sure what you mean but here is how I operate
I take the memory stick from my camera and go into it and select all pics and videos I just shot for a specific inspection. I create a new folder on my desktop and assign it a name pertaining to the address etc.. drop all videos and pics into that folder . I then batch add all pics from that folder I created into the template thru HIP it's at this point I'm majorly PO'd that the video files are not batch added as well.. I'm certainly not going to send my videos to a generic video folder and try to distinguish the current ones from my older video files... It's already a nightmare having to do all this to simply create a report ... when I add a pic for example your software always returns to the exact file location that I had just previously selected... Please make your software default to this same setting in the import video function... Plain and simple.. otherwise get the HIP mobile to initiate and insert video into the proper category as the pics do for god sakes... This is a royal pain in the keester ! |
