Template with pre-selected Defects and Descriptions. This has been discussed in the past but I lost track if there has been any progress or if this request died.

Pre-selected Defects and Description will save many many many clicks as you put it. Everyone of my reports have many of the same common descriptions and comments. The work around for me is to save an inspection with pre-selected items but this is not very efficient because I'm continually updating my narratives and updating my template which then requires me to save to a new inspection then go through the process of pre-selected items over and over again.

Anyone else see a benefit in this request. I would like the same for to pre-selected jpegs.

John, this was added over a year ago. Setup an inspection exactly as you want it and save it. Save as many different variations as you want. Then MERGE that inspection into your new inspection. That way it'll only pull the selected comments that you want and it won't mess up your template.

150 photos uploaded plus merge photos (diagrams) = 50 photo tabs. Went through and edited them, placed them all in the correct damage panels, etc. Started going through my ritual of organizing the call outs and photos in the order I want them within the report. Noticed I forgot to edit a photo with an arrow.... have to go through the 50 photo tabs and play the "memory" game to see where the picture is so it can be edited.
Same report, I see that I accidentally placed a roof covering material picture under branch circuits. Aghh... back to the memory game of finding the photo within the 50 tabs so it can be placed correctly.

Having the ability to <right click photo> <edit> straight from the damage panels would be outstanding. Also <right click photo> <reassign> and <right click photo> <remove>.

Is there a possibility of having a search bar within HIP desktop? Just like on the mobile version. I am using the note feature but having the ability to search and auto populate would be fantastic!

Is there a possibility when typing in the caption bar of a picture it acts as a search bar for the captions saved? For example I have a caption saved for the water pressure picture - captionWater pressure at... if I were to start typing the word "water" it would bring up all the captions I have saved that start or have the word "water" in it. My reasoning behind this is, as I build my caption list, it takes just as much time to find the one I want by scrolling through them as it would to just type the entire caption.

I am running HIP 3.9 on the laptop. Is there a more recent beta out right now?

This wish is related to the stationery feature.

Since we are able to now put our company name, logo, inspector name, graphics, etc...  Whatever we want in a stationery, it has made the header and footer somewhat obsolete. Not entirely, but a little. Actually, I'm finding that having only two header and footer options makes creating stationery a bit hamstrung.

I would love one of two things:
1. Either a few more options to the header/footer selection,

• top right-address, bottom right-page
• top left-address, bottom right-page
• top-empty, bottom left-address, bottom right-page
• top center-address, bottom left-company, bottom right-page

And there's probably others which could allow for some more flexibility in stationery

2. Allow users to fill any number of six slots with the data they choose,

• top left
• top center
• top right
• bottom left etc, etc...

Number 2 would Rock! Then you could have total control over where things went and design stationery without trying to fit logos around pre-existing data.

Some form of alert in the PC version HIP that lets me know there is a picture uploaded to the tab I am working on instead of having to hit "show Photos" to remind myself. Maybe the "show photos" tab could turn red if there is a photo in that tab?

Already exists. Set photos to actually show instead of show photos button.
