Mine averages to .16sqft but this puts a 1200 at $192, and a 4000 at $640

I charge .18 cents a sq foot.

$200 and up for Mold inspection IAQ certified
Will drive 75 miles $1 each additional mile

4. How much extra for a pool: We have almost no pools here
5. How much extra for a radon inspection: $ 150.00
6. How much extra for a termite inspection: N/A Locally, Licensed exterminators do these.
7. How far are you willing to drive before charging extra: 50 miles
8. How much would you charge to drive outside that range: $ .35/mile

Here in Calif. There are a couple types of services we could do. Some banks want simple drive by visual inspections. They want to know if the property is occupied and what condition it is in. Take  time date stamped  pictures of the exterior and that’s it. Don’t know what they would be willing to pay for the service.

Other property management companies request estimates on the get ready to market cost. That “other” inspection software has some sort of application for estimating cost, Dominic could look into that.

Here in Calif. It is against the law to estimate what you inspect so not sure how to approach that. I would think the property management co’s would want to negotiate a volume deal don’t you

Sorry....In CA it is not against the law to estimate, but it is against the Business and Professions code as well as most Home Inspection Authorities to do work on any property that you have inspected within a 12 month period.  Cost to cure estimates is a service that gives your clients an idea of what it may cost to cure the defects you may have found while inspecting the home....We offer that service as a "Technical Inspection" at a premium price.  I use Licensed Contractors that specialize in his or her proffession to do these types of estimates.

Just wanted to Add...My Comment and some of the others are off topic as it pertains to licensing and the law and should be moved to another string....As Im sure that Dominic is trying to get some good information from accross the USA to make an informed decision on fees.  If someone wants to carry this to another thread then so be it.....if not....for those in CA feel free to contact me if you have questions about my postings.
