TOPIC: Android Camera for mobile) anyone else using it ?

Re: Android Camera for mobile) anyone else using it ? 11 years 7 months ago #53096

I am thinking about it. Bob stated in his video that the battery will last for about 70 pics and that he keeps a spare battery. Has there been any improvement in the battery? I really like the idea of using HIP as I go instead of having to come back to the office and do the whole report.

Mike at this point you might want to wait till this summer and see what the options are.
If you are rushed on an inspection the mechanical zoom causes the photos to take a bit longer time wise.

The cell phones are actually much faster if you are taking a lot.

Hard to explain till you see it in action.(I bring mine to meetings) see you there.

I went to do my 2 building inspection Saturday with it and they gave me a lousy 10-15 per unit to do the job.
Had to holster the Android and go with regular as a result.

I would have used my cell camera but my model often messes up incoming calls while in use.

Actually may get a new model cell phone this summer and just use the cell here for jobs.(wifi)

You can always use a cell camera and simply do zoom shots with any camera as well.

Bear in mind I run through places often and need speed.

Some of the newest models are coming out with amazing picture quality and more processing power.

Yes Im using it. and I do like it. I keep a USB charger in the car and it works out just fine. I did upgrade the mirco chip to 32GB more then enough room. That all being said I use it mostly for wind mitigation. I just wish we had a different date tumbler in the app.. Over all I like it.

I will trying to go with it again tomorrow.
Regular home inspection should be a slower pace.

Been changing the template like crazy for speed.

I hear what you saying However some times a slower pace shows a higher value.  Maybe by using the phone or camera it will help you slow down.

lol yeah I can tell you are not using it for H.I.
I doubt my 3 hour inspection going 4 as I ignore clients to stare at the screen adds percieved value.:)

Hey have you tried smart mode yet,it is amazing as you can on half pressing the shutter go to the far right middle button / hit smart  / and use a panorama effect that eliminates any need for portrait pictures.
You can literally paint or scan in the amount of picture that shows in your shot.

I actually just discovered it.

Anyway going to try doing a home this afternoon and will let you know how it goes.

All my picture caption drops are 100% location based and material based where needed right now.
Funny thing is the native keyboard is has amazing predictive skills making wonder if canned language on mobile is even needed.
