TOPIC: Report Writing, Help Please

I'm not sure what I'm missing on this onsite entry, but I will try first thing Monday, as I have a New Home Inspection. I will take notes on the narratives I have vrs what I have to add.  Maybe its just a matter of getting the correct amount of Narratives and and old dog learn new tricks in the field.
Still Skeptical.

Hi Steven just wondering if the 'old dog' has success today.

Not sure of the results. Took a long time doing just the inside, did the exterior the old way.
Had to go back and proof the report, so I guess it saved about an hour, but with just as much searching the program as usual. I guess I am expecting too much.
I am having a hard time looking at the benifits of the new tablet system. I think that the reason is that every home is a little differant and if I put every narrative I write into the program, I will be searching for ever anyway. I guess it would help if I could see a few reports that only took 1.5 hours to complete, to see were I may be going wrong.

You should aim for an 80% existing narrative rate. That seems to be about the average.

My favorite point made was when Dom said the report itself has become a marketing piece.

I encourage everyone to re-read Dominic's post of March 24. Go back and review and make sure you understand every comment and tip he made. I think we are aiming for a point in Report writing that we can never achieve because we see so many variables. If you get to the 80% use of canned comments you have done well. Report writing and templates are an ever evolving process.
