Dom

When are you going to replace the date program?

When I open up my report the date changes to 0/3/2011. Change it, keeps going back to 0/3/2011

There is a good chance this could be on my finished report.

Could you please find a better date program, this one often is not reliable.

Yeah, Mark Wahl brought this up to me yesterday and I'll be working on this today. I thought I had fixed this a few months back by overriding the info, but I guess not good enough. It still happens when reopening an inspection in December.

YES!  Ditto David's comment!

Thanks to David’s post — I  just checked and realized that I sent out a report yesterday  ‘to the world’ with a date of 0/1/2011! @#$%%$#@

This is very embarrassing!  E.g. The client can think:  “if the date is wrong from the get-go—how many other errors are in this report?”

Sorry about that Serge. If you reopen an inspection right now make sure to double check the date. I found the problem last night and am working on a fix. It'll take most of the weekend as the date is integrated into many areas of the program and I have to ensure backwards compatibility with all past inspections.

Serge

We spend all this time to make a detailed report, then a simple thing like an improper date makes it look like it was done by an incompitent inspector.

This has been a problem since I started using the software.

Sorry you had one go out with a bogus date.

I hope Dom can correct, I wonder how many others are sending out and do not realize it.

I should have it all corrected this weekend then I'll send out a new update (has a few other items on it). Unfortunately this is one of the few things in the program I didn't write from scratch. The problem occurred last December too, then there was one month that had 31 days but it only had 30 listed earlier this year. I had fixed that problem and thought it solved the issue. Was up until 3:30 this morning tracking down the issue and found it. I came up with an easy fix for current inspections, but I have to make sure it doesn't affect past inspections (the harder part). Watch the beta section and here and I'll post a fix for you guys to test before I sent it to the public.
