It's kind of nice to find out what others did in their former lives.
You most certainly have more experience than I do.  You were bored with residential before I even finished grade school.  I was still living in the Netherlands at that point, thinking I was going to be a dairy farmer after growing up.

Bert, I am here to share my experiences and help where I can. Because I definitely need help in other areas. Like learning all the computer tricks.  ;D

Started Thursday, is the installation of two underground Steam Vaults for the replacement of 15 year old steam lines that failed due to its design.
The original underground steam line was installed using this product;
www.dritherm.com/photo_gallery.html and not necessarily from this Company.

What is being taken out is what was installed as part of a Six Story building we built 15 years ago on this College campus.
The concrete vaults are being installed to intercept previous pipe replacements called Ric-Wil.

This is the steam line being removed;

Removing pipes at point of intersection of underground Ric-Wil and existing vault to make room for a new vault.

Now to form up the pad for the new vault section;

Dowels have been drilled in the existing slab and epoxy dowels set in.
Also a waterstop material called RX has been installed at point of contact to prevent water intrusion later between the two slabs.

Ready for concrete; 4000 psi concrete will be used with 5-7% air entrainment.

I did pour this on Friday, but was so tired that I forgot to take another photo. ;D

To be continue; later this week.

Hope you enjoy the Commercial side of things.  :)

I am enjoying it.  I have used various waterstop products in past.  I was going to check the link you posted but couldn't get it to work.  I did do a search for RX waterstop.  It looks similar to the material I've used but I can't recall the name of it.  Most of the people at the company I worked for just called it "that black sh1t."

;D

Someone will have to tell me how to post a PDF link on this board, can't seem to be able to do it Bert.
It will take a regular link, but not a PDF copy of the shortcut.

Dominic might be able to help here.

Hope you found it anyways.
They call it RX waterstop.  :)

Marcel, what do you mean a PDF copy? You can paste a link to the PDF just like your other links, or you can upload a PDF as an attachment.

Glad to hear you're busy for the next few weeks!
