TOPIC: New 10" CTL 2go Tablet

Look in this thread and the other on the CTL2Go. Guys have been using this and it's predecessor for around a year now and there's some reviews mixed into the posts. I know we have a few hundred inspectors using Home Inspector Pro and the tablet now.

Hey gang,

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 10" CTL 2go.

Now that it has been out for a little while, is there any last minute words of wisdom pro or con?

This thread has been very helpful to a dinosaur like me!

I have been using my CTL tablet for a month. However, I find it slows me up on the inspection.
I get frustrated and set the tablet down and pick it up after inspection and complete report all at one time.

Does anyone what to share some tips on speeding up the inspection using the tablet. It would be greatly apprecitated.

Hi Karl,

That's the older 9" model. The new one is 10" and has an 6-8 hour battery life.

Speed tips. You have to use it to get used to doing it quickly. Eventually you memorize where you comments are and whip through it. But you have to do it to get used to it like anything else.

Rearrange your comments up/down to move your most common comments to the top (very important).

Train and get used to the handwriting recognition program. Learn how to click the word and the bottom to see other possibilities if you've spelled something wrong.

Make sure you're using a room by room template so you're not jumping all over the program.

There's nothing wrong with the 9" by the way, it's what I have. You also might want to decrease the resolution to 800x600 so things are bigger.
