TOPIC: Photo resolution in finished report

Re: Photo resolution in finished report 13 years 6 months ago #41332

Great ideas. I have quite a few other features that I have to get in first but I'll definitely keep it on the to-do list.

Ok try and find the cover shot if I had not renamed it.
I also take a ton of still shots off video.
Make sense now?  :)

So how do you use the video?

Do you take video because there is a better chance of getting the "shot" you want in one of the frames of the video? (that's a creative idea)  Or do you use video on those issues where a photo can't capture it, i.e. loose railing, strange noise from equipment, etc.?  I've done that once or twice.

I've also started using "sign language" in my photos where the issue is not easily captured. So a loose railing gets two photos, one of just the railing and one with my hand making an "L".  Anything non-fuctional gets an additional photo with me giving it a "thumbs down".

I'll bet there's a whole library of creative things inspectors do to indicate the nature of the problem in photos.

So it's not the main photos you're trying to see images of, it's from the extra photos.

Your quote feature has not been working the last day or two Dom.(just thought you should know)

Sorry I thought I made it pretty clear unless everyone without exception always remembers to make the very first shot a photo of the building how are we expected to find it without thumbs.
Thumbs are included in most editors so I was just wondering why they do not exist in file search from photo edit in the HIP program.

Not a deal killer if hard to add as a feature but would be more practable.
