TOPIC: Change images?

You have 3 images that make up that header. The image you posted seems to have all 3 images together. I am not sure if you can have both the top left and top right images in there. I think you have to have one or the other but not both. Try taking out the top left or right and see if it works.

To be honest, you lost me. I don't know what you mean by top left and top right images?

and used the magic wand and eraser to remove the middle image so I could place my own in there.

It's subtle.

Because the theme itself could have the navigation bar on the home page on the left or right , you have the option of using a different image for each. You can see a the difference if you look closely at these, focus outside the main picture.  Realistically you only need to change the first.

I also see you're trying to upload a PSD file. You need to export as a JPG from photoshop before uploading the photo. Most browsers cannot read PSD files.

Re-Read this post by Dom. You have a right and left gray box. I think you need to remove one of them depending on what side you have the navigation menu. If the menu is on the right then you can only use the left box, for example. I could be wrong, but I think I am on to something.

Ah yes, I see. Thanks for reminding me about that post, I understand what you're saying now. However, I can't really fathom why the content in an image would impact its ability to be able to load on a webpage. I've also tried loading other images from desaturated versions of the same default image that comes with the page to a complete black image, and all are within the required dimensions and none will load.

The only other thing that I have thought of is to make anything outside the actual picture and frame completely blank, however I am doubtful it will resolve the issue.

I'm tinkering around with it though, hopefully something will work.

Well, you can't have 2 things occupy the same space.
