Lots of good ideas, I should make a note on marketing ideas that work and ones that are a waste of money.
I would think having a website that is found on the first page of the search engines would be the best bang for the buck. Seems I need to go through my email and reply to others that have emailed me. The truck signs I have had for 2 years have not led to any referrals but it still is a good investment. |

That's surprising David as I hear the complete opposite from most guys (regarding the truck signs). Can you post a picture of your truck here for us to look at?

Hmm, looks pretty good to me. Consumers don't know the difference between ASHI or CMI. A few agents might.
Does the truck look exactly like that? Mind taking an actual pic when you get a chance. |

My best marketing tool to date is showing up early, getting to know the seller, leaving a letter at the home for the seller and doing a thorough inspection.
For example: I was referred to do a radon/general from a past client. (Thorough inspection) Dropped off radon 2/3 days ahead of time (Getting to know seller) Arrived early at inspection. (Had a few questions for seller and by the time he left he wanted me to do his inspection) Provide a detailed thorough inspection. (email from clients agent wanting to have me drop off my materials at office) Call from seller to do his house and radon. So by arriving early, doing a thorough job. I received an addition inspection and potential referrals from an agent. Both houses are within 5 miles of my house. So this is the best marketing tool in my opinion. Do a good job, get there early to meet seller, leave materials behind for seller. I have been getting numerous jobs very close to my home and I am going to target the local areas. I would rather work close to home then driving 30-50 miles one way. Truck signs are very low on my list of how to get inspection referrals. They are nice to have and the better the signs are the more professional the home inspection company looks. |
