Should be a requirement for any realtor to sit through a full home inspection as part of their training!  I think then they'd realize the value of what we do, and why our rates are warranted. 
I agree that many don't see a need for what we do, but also, many around here don't always feel that we're truly "professionals"...especially in MN where inspectors aren't required to be licensed.  Done a little research and Iowa doesn't require a license either but Wisconsin does.  Since I'm only about an hour from LaCrosse, I've mulled getting a WI license; no Ian, I'm not going to your area!  But I have noticed my website gets looked at by folks in western WI. 

I think it wouldn't hurt us HI's to know more about real estate laws and contract too.  I've definitely been learning a lot working both sides of things.

John what have you learned about real estate laws that would benefit Us HI's?

The process and reasoning behind many elements in the real estate contracts and various other forms.  Most of it wouldn't be of any use to HI's but there are parts I think would help HI's understand why Realtors do some of the things they do.

Just like Realtors should get a better understanding of what HI's do.  Kinda goes both ways.

Good morning fellas. Gonna be a long week here. Casey, looking forward to the big game on Sunday? It is Favre week here and the media is in full effect already, and it is only Monday morning. The guy did so many great things here and they treat him like the anti christ or something cuz he went to the Vikes. Not his fault the, and I use these terms loosely, GM and Coach, ran him out of town early. Anyway, should be a good week listening to all the funny Favre anecdotes on the radio. Well, everyone here is feeling blue after yesterday.  No one gave them a chance to win against Pitt, but hey, they hung tough and the D played well despite Winfield being out.  BUT:  Peterson needs more than 18 carries/game, and Favre shouldn't be throwing 51 times.  Balance is what we need.
It'll be crazy, I'm sure.  Used to be us hearing/using the old Favre stories and gaffes...it's still weird!

Hey guys! Casey, you are right, Minn won't win with Favre throwing 50 times a game. They have the best RB in the game right now, and a great QB. Pound the football, and let Favre do his thing. I still think they are going to be a force to be reckon with come playoff time. This game should be pretty good.
