i am looking forward to the update that allows the check marks and often used remarks to already be checked off and comments loaded when i start each new report. this is the single biggest time saver- shorter report time is at the top of my list. is this ever going to be attempted?

More wish list items:
1. Button to activate auto save(the report) - if you don't want it you don't have to use it! 2. Ability to copy an entire report without the comments. Let's say you go out and do an additional re-inspect or go back to inspect utilities that were off when you did the home inspection. You can copy all the information over to a new report. The front photo and admin info is there, but no comments so you are only creating a report that has what you are re-inspecting. Just a thought |

I would love to see an extra text box on the client info page whose name could be inserted into any document and the information in the box would show up when it prints. I would use it to put specific notes or comments involving payment on my invoice which I've created in the documents section of HIP. This way I would not have to make changes to the invoice every time I do an inspection but instead I would simply type the information, if I needed any, in that box.

Here is my list, some of which are nit-picky. But, it is a wish list and if I do not ask...
Thanks for all you do Dominic and all the HIP programmers. 1. Merge templates. Sounds like from another discussion that you are working on this. 2. Save the report generate location. I don't keep my HIP files or Report files in the default location. I have a shortcut there and save the files in another location. When I save the report and go to the other location, you keep the new location and go to it on all subsequent saves. However, when I generate report and go the the other location, you do not keep the new location. When I discover a mistake in the report and generate it again, I have to choose the location again. 3. Submit serial numbers to RecallChek. When the serial number is not there, the RC report states "Not Visible/Inaccessible", which makes me look dumb when it is clearly visible. 4. Photo "Bulk Import Options" always has the cover photo slot blank option checked. I ALWAYS take my cover photo first so that it automatically flows into the correct slot in the report. Allow me to change that option as a default so that I do not have to uncheck it every time. 5. When I edit photos, I always choose Draw Rectangle. Allow me to change that to be the default. 6. Give me a way to move an item from black to red or from red to black. If I choose an item and accidently make it black instead of red. Then, I edit the item to contain exactly what I need it to be. Later when I am completing the report, I realize that I put it in the wrong spot. Now, I have to redo the item. 7. Change the indentation on the bullet items in the report. Indent the items below the section heading. Currently, I use Description for selection panels and Observations for damage panels. It would be easier to read if the items inside each section were indented below the section heading in the report. 8. Change the indentation inside the bullet items in the report. Make the bullets work like they do in Word. The second-plus lines of an item in Word are indented past the bullet. The second-plus lines of an item in HIP line up with the bullet. Again, would make it easier to read. |
