I agree and most guys just want 2 across. But we have a few guys that take up to 1500 photos per inspection (commercial jobs) and they would like 3 across. You can zoom with the PDF , unlike html reports and still keep a good amount of the quality. I'll obviously just be an option. |

Agreed 3 smaller images will also shorten up the report length a bit as well. Most people are viewing them as a PDF and can magnify for a closer look.

Actually, I'm doing that already. I'm referring to the individual headings within each major section. For example, the Heating/AC section (centered at the top of the page) automatically goes to its own page, but the "Filter" or "Burners" sub-headings(the ones with the background stripes) may get split in two if they are too long and the photos may be at the top of the next page without any heading indicating what section they are a part of. Dom and I discussed this in a separate thread I started for this idea. One conclusion of the matter was to have a "Section Continued" at the top of any page where a sub-heading is split between pages. Re: number of photos across & text formatting I like the idea of having the option of two or three across. I like either-or options for this kind of decision, they seem to keep the program simple to set up but provide some customizing. As far as text formatting is concerned, I would vote for total control of every letter on the report. Alignment, font, color, size, underline, bold, etc. The more the better! |

I wish.... that the drop down lists were transferable, rather available across the templates. We use same << orientation >> <<foundation type>> etc. .... in all templates, so the lists should be accessible to any one open template. Is it possible?

Right now they're template specific to make the files easy to move from one computer to another (they're inside the TPZ file). As soon as I make something global it makes it harder to transfer.

To create proper lists is a lot of work, and they are constantly being updated. So to do it for every individual template is also inconsistent, as the lists will be at different stages of their evolution. If a separate "Lists" file could be created and updated at the time of saving of any TPZ, then templates would draw the data from it when created, and update it when they are saved. I understand that you have separate file to transfer, but if instructed, people would simply have to transfer an additional file to their folder, or they would have no lists - it would be well worth it
I have several templates that I use all of the time - GHI, Packages, Septic, Mold, Multi units etc.. so it is a mess, if I have to do separate lists for each one, and there is no way to copy them either. thanks |
