Are you not able to take the saved inspection you have created in desktop and move to mobile using the cloud? Or do you have to start every new mobile inspection with a blank report? I was using a report as a template but I stopped (not sure why), maybe a picture thing. (I found an issue with HIP from me loading a picture copied from the internet (Like Trulia) to my desktop and inserting into #1 slot. I still use a saved report for my radon and that saves a few clicks. So if I upload 3.9.1 what are the benefits, changes from 3.5.1 (I do not use mobile) Do you guys ever notice your HIP Karma, I gave each one of you 1. Dom is 200, Troy 10, Bob is 17. |

I have a preset base report that I start every inspection with that has about 40 of my most used graphics already loaded. I have my logo in slot #1. This is where I upload the HIP mobile reports from my phone and my assistants tablet to finish report.
I do I have many "all is well" narratives pre-selected in the base report, but I cannot load that into HIP mobile. If I could have HIP mobile preloaded with my all is good narratives, then it would save me even more time. As it is now I have to go back through the base report and deselect the "all is well" comment when I have issues uploaded to that section. I haven't uploaded 3.9.1 yet, but plan on it as soon as I get it. The flatten feature sounds nice. |

Thanks David I clicked on you as well.
Do not pay attention to that rating stuff as the only way for me to get more is to be less controversial and be Mr Happy face all the time. Heck with that as I am always honest with how I feel and what I think . I admire those who tell it like it is...good or bad. |

Great ideas gentlemen. I am currently trying to figure out ways to speed up the inspection. My "better half" is not appreciating my current time spent at the computer. I have a long way to go to get my template(s) as tidy as you two. A couple of questions if you do not mind...
Troy- Are you saying your "base report" (the template you merge your HIP Mobile report with) already has images or graphics already saved? I understand the concept of creating a Merge template with narratives already selected and placed but I did not know you could have pictures saved in the merge template. If this is the case how do you add pictures of the home in the report? Would this be a correct order of your operation?.... <conduct inspection with HIP> <upload to cloud> <download to lap top> <merge with "base template" (already has narratives and graphics)> <batch add pictures of home from camera> <add captions to home pics (and captions to graphics...unless captions save to a merge template as well?)> <adjust pictures the order you want them within each section> <review> <send> If I am right, I have a couple of follow up questions. Does the template you download to the HIP Mobile have the pre-loaded narratives that are waiting for you in the "base report" or Merge template? Or did you remove them? I figure removing them from the HIP Mobile template you use would mean less scrolling since you already know they will upload when you merge with base. I can not wait to spend a day or two cleaning mine up and I like both ideas you guys were throwing our in this post. I really appreciate it. A couple of things I think will make this process better/faster (if I am close to understanding) - Being able to remove pictures from the narrative pages, instead of having to sift through the picture tabs trying to find the one you want to remove. (I am very happy that we can now adjust position from the narrative pages) - Having captions saved to the graphics/pics that are saved in a merge template Are the links in you report "clickable" or do the clients copy/paste in a new tab? Thanks for your insight and ideas! |
