David if it's a POS I don't photo document every little POS. If I start finding leaks here and there. I document that a plumber needs to repair as needed to ensure that system if functioning properly.

I have a number of "there were multiple issues observed" comments, and that they should have a qualified contractor repair system as needed.

Taking photos with phone or tablet and captioning onsite will slow you down initially, but like anything else, with practice you get faster. It's nice not to have to sit in front of a computer and do reports at night after a long day of inspecting.

Travis if it is selected in the base report and gets selected again in HIP mobile then the comment is in there twice, and I just delete one of them. It happens sometimes also when my assistant and I write up the same thing occasionally.

With all the POS I get in Chicago just to repeat myself ...various locations is a miracle phrase.
When doing a $1,000,000 condo every little thing often gets reported but on a POS pick out the main issues in the system.
There are only so many kinds of Contractors to refer.

Instead of deleting the Base Report narratives (call outs you merge over) from the Hip Mobile Template you could maybe use the "advanced color" option...? Color the narratives within the Base Report a different color from the rest. Just a thought, not sure if it would help.

Never mind on my last post...the advanced colors do not show up on the iPad. It only shows a number indicator.
