I am trying to make a custom template of my own design and have run into a few snags. I finished typing in all of my menu items under "menu" on the left. Realized that all of the items will not fit into the header of the program. I then realized that I could just add a title under the "menu" and then add my other menus under that. In this way the one menu description will show at the top of the program with my other menu items included in that title as cascading. This is cool, but when I try to move any menu items, I cannot. When I first open the edit template I can grab the menu item on the left and it will shadow as I am dragging it to the new position, but the menu item will not stay and returns to its original position. I try it again and I do not get the shadow but a box..but it still will not move. The up and down buttons on the right of the edit screen will not affect the menu items on the left of the edit box. They seem to only work with sub menu items on the right of the edit box.

I think I know what you are talking about. When you create a new menu on the left in the template editor, you have to click on it then type something in the add box and click add (add's a new menu to it). After that you can drag/drop your other menu items into it. This is actually an issue that came up a month ago when I started adding all the new capabilities into the template editor. I need to reprogram the add new menu so that you can drag items onto a menu with no items in it.
Let me know if this works for you (or if what I'm saying even makes sense). |

Actually that is not what I am talking about, although it is a good idea. What my problem is that once I get all of the menus listed in the left column of the editor(these are the main menus, not the sub-menus) I cannot re-order them in that column. I cannot drag any of the main menu items to another location within that column. eg. Under menus, I may have a main menu item of Heating System. I would have another main menu item added of plumbing system and then another main menu item of electrical system under that. All of these three menu items would be main and just listed down the column in that order. They are not subs under another menu item. Say that I want to change the order in which they are listed. Instead of heating system; plumbing system; electrical system, I wanted electrical system before heating and plumbing listed after electrical system, I should be able to drag/move the menu items to that order. In the MAC editor, I cannot drag any menu items to a new order. They will not drag. I hope that I am making sense of all of this.

I see what you're saying, you should be able to drag and drop without a problem. Are you trying to drop inbetween other menu's? The cursor will change when you can.
I'll boot up my mac and check it out. Also the order it appears on the report is set in Report Settings-Section COlors & Print Order. |

Robert, this works for you now correct? I've tested it in the last few versions and it worked fine. I believe you had told me via email you had it working back in January, but I wanted to make sure the issue was closed here.
