I suggest that we have a way to color the text for the Materials and Observations Titles within the report so that those titles stand out in the report and not appear as just the same text in the descriptions, etc. I also would like to see a way that we can go back into the template edit and drill down to the subs in the menus to make changes. I have found that I had added some subs and I had misspelled some words. The only way that I could remedy the misspellings was to delete the sub and re-type carefully. It would be nice to be able to double click on it and be able to make changes such as spelling. This would also be a good idea for the main subs. Editing the names for the tabs, etc. would be nice...a way to get back into the directed sub menu formulation wizard.

Hi Bob,
The ability to edit the panel names within a tab is one of the top 3 things I have to work on right now. I'm setting it up so you can double click on it from the Template Editor and update the items there. You can already change the name for the tabs, just double click on them in the template editor and you can change them. Changing the Material & Observation title color is a good idea, I'll add that to the list (about 4 pages of to-do's right now!) |

Editing panel names was completed in 2.5.9.

Along with the text color/bold/etc. I suggested in the wish list, I would like to be able to do it in the texting of the selection panels as well.

Both already on the to do list. Creating the larger editing boxes was the first part of the process.
There is one thing about the color choice that needs to be discussed. The way things are right now, you can choose a color for your serious/summary items (usually red). If we allow the color of comments to be changed, then do the items added to red still stay 100% red? What happens if you change some of the color of the item then add it? I haven't had time to really think this all the way through. I'll let you guys toss it around some too and think of what method you think would be best. In the selection panels that's obviously not as much of a problem. Though even the selection panels have a color set under Report Formatting. Hmm. |

Well, I was only interested in the selection panels and leaving the observations alone. In my template I am using the selection panels for locations, type, etc. and also an abbreviated Legend. Because of the way the report prints, I wanted to be able to separate the legend from the others by coloring the text of the others while leaving the legend color black. I do not think that the report selections option will allow me to change some of the text...I believe it will only change all of the text colors in the selection panels. Correct me if i am wrong with this. As it is, I am using a series of dashes to separate items in the selection panels (hmmm, another neat idea, the ability to add horizontal lines within the selection panels as separators).
