I also like the T series because the screen is much larger and the lens pivots. This is helpful when doing overhead shots. You can hold the camera in front of you, as compared to ovver your head.
If you go to the Fluke site, there are some interactive tools to demonstrate the field of view between the standard and wide angle lens, at different distances. There are also some that show the sensitivity and resolution between the models. I'm not completly sold on Flir or Fluke yet. I'm liking Fluke a little more though, mostly because of the friendliness of the site, and the accessability to support. It's very difficult to get to a Flir rep. I'm still waiting. Fluke was fantastic. Spent a great deal of time with me on the phone and on the site. They are already setting up a demo to come to me and let me play with the different cameras. |

The letter below was to me from my Fluke Rep. Yes I like my camera but still getting used to it and because it's new to me I have nothing to compare it to. I dont know what you mean by whole wall shots, has pic in a pic which is very helpfule especially when a person not familier with IR is looking at the photo, look at the first IR pic at my IR site, (kitchen wall) top pic is with digital and second is with Fluke TiR1 using pic in a pic feature. David,
Thanks for the info, I will contact Tom and give him a shot. I hope you do not mind if I use your name. When I say "whole wall shot" I am referring to the field of view. Since I am doing EIFS inspections, I want to be able to stand a reasonable distance away and take a scan of an entire wall... or at least a reletivly large area. This is also important in energy loss analysis. Where you would want to show a wall with windows and how the heat (or cold) is escaping. |

Don't forget HIP can do picture in picture so if that feature is extra, you don't necessarily need it.
Fluke has a proprietary format so you have to export as jpeg before integrating into a website or any software. Though we are working with them right now on a direct import path. Flir has been more attentive to home inspectors over the past few years from what I've seen but it now seems that Fluke is getting more into the game and trying to catch up. |

Man that would be so nice to be able to bring in the Fluke pics directly into HIP.
