I would like your opinion on my newsletter.

It is a part of my marketing package.

Dom, do you think we could start a separate section called marketing?

Thanks

Hi Dave - that is a great newsletter!  How do you intend to distribute it?  How often do you want to get something like this out?  It's a super job, I think.

Suggestions?  Not many!  Here are a couple:

--  You use the word "obtained" when referring to your Certified Master Inspector designation.  That might connote something other than you intend.  You could consider instead the word "earned."   Some realtors or buyers might think anyone can go get the designation!  You deserve it because you earned it!
--  You suggest that homeowners "seal all attic openings."  What about soffit, gable or ridge vents?
--  On the right you use the present tense in your maintenance suggestions - "have the gutters..."  On one you use a present participle, "Having the heating..."  You should be consistent with your tenses.
--  You could add a couple of commas here and there.

These are all minor things!  Hope you don't mind my throwing them out there.  No one else is making any suggestions, so here's my two cents.

Good luck with the newsletter.  You need to tell us how it works out for you!

Jay

This is why I posted.

I will make the changes. I was never very good at english and grammar.

Added seal all attic access openings.

I plan on making one every season. Spring, summer, winter and fall.

Thank you very much, I really value your opinion. And anyone else that has an opinion.

I am trying to generate some business.

Included updated newsletter.

I have an idea. We could create a HIP newsletter and trade off taking turns editing, making ideas.

I just didnt feel like paying someone for a newsletter.

Dave's gotten my suggestions via email as we've been going back and forth. I think it looks great.

I do think a marketing board is a great idea but I want to get a few more guys in here first before I create more boards. Otherwise it makes things seem smaller and harder to find. I'm sure within the next month or so we'll have enough guys. If we could even get 10% of our users on the boards, we'd be rocking.

Man I liked it.  I hope it works.  I've received one call from my fliers and brochures.  I don't think I like those percentages.  I'm getting ready to try M&M's in a basket with my business card stapled to em.

Another idea I have is placing magnetized business cards on one of my snack vending machines.  There is great traffic flow, and I own the machines, so I can put whatever I want on them!!!  ;)

Something else I have done is placed some of my fliers in one of the vending locations by the register.  Its a kids used clothing store.  Its not your typical location to place them.  But its one extra location that nobody else is using.  :D

Dave - how do you intend to distribute it?  Mailings, emailings, stop off at offices to pass them out in the mailboxes?  Any and all of those...!?
