Very nice Drew. Be up front about why you charge more, and deserve it, and most people see that you are not the realtors best friend, and that you are truly looking out for them.

Hi.  Thanks for the forum posts about HomeInspector.com.  The site is a great business tool.  The way it works is this:
Customers visit the site and select the inspection services they need.  They then enter their contact and property information.  This information is used to locate the closest inspector to their property.  Their information is sent to the inspector via email and SMS text.  The lead information is also stored in the inspectors "my account" tool for review and documentation.

We are working to make the site a leader in the industry and welcome you to join.

Thank you,
Ben Evans

Ben, in your Inspector Registration area for the Inspector to check off types of inspections ( Home, Condo, Mold, etc.) it didn't have a commercial inspection to check off, but is in your pricing (charges) section. So since I wasn't able to check off Commercial Inspections for my account as i was able to check off home, condo inspections etc, how do I know I will be getting commercial inspections leads since i can't designate that in my profile/account. Also in your pricing/charges for leads all areas are charged by a dollar amount, for example $10/ lead for Home Inspection. But at the commercial inspection fee it says 10%. So are you saying if I did a commercial inspection from your lead it would be let's say $200 fee for a $2000 inspection, but no charge for a lead that didn't work out, since 10% of nothing is nothing? If this is the case why are you offering a Percentage fee for jobs done on commercial and not even as an option on Home inspections? I sure like the thought of paying for something that got me something versus paying for a lead that might not really be worth a darn. And are you considering multi family to be commercial?
In your post here you didn't address and clarify billing for leads as was brought up by others. In your authorization form for an inspectors account it says you are billing us monthly automaticaly from the credit card info we provide up front. Is this after we approve / verify charges? It doesn't say. Care to discuss?
I'm sure I'll have other questions as I am interested in trying you out. How long have you been doing this and do you, as mentioned above still have alot of bugs to work out. I'm messaging you here for the benefit of others not just to put you on the spot. Obviously we can get you some good exposure here, especially after good results. On your registration it asked how I heard of your site. I answered 'other', since none of the given answers applied. but it wouldn't let me imput that It was from the Home Inspector Pro Message Board. I would think you would want to know what the source was, not just 'other'.
Drew, from your post you mention Service Magic. I would think that the name Homeinspector.com versus Service Magic would generate more leads, no? You're obviously happy with them. Who wouldn't be with a 75% success rate on your leads. Ben, I'd be happy with anything over 50% success rate and ecstatic with 75% or more. Do you have any research stats?  :) :) :)

Joe, I do pretty well with Service Magic. Last week I think I booked about 2 out of 5 leads. This week I am 2 for 2 so it varies. The trick is to be fast with the call back when you get your lead, and polish your line of ****. There are a ton of price shoppers and you cannot say the price until you have given them your entire pitch.

How do I know I will be getting commercial inspections leads since i can't designate that in my profile/account.
- The commercial customers tend to call us directly.  We then identify the appropriate inspector and connect the inspector with the client.

- Yes, that is the case.

If this is the case why are you offering a Percentage fee for jobs done on commercial and not even as an option on Home inspections?
- The home inspection lead volume will be significantly higher then the commercial volume.  This makes it an inefficient process to track and account for each home inspection.

And are you considering multi family to be commercial?
- Yes.

In your post here you didn't address and clarify billing for leads as was brought up by others. In your authorization form for an inspectors account it says you are billing us monthly automaticaly from the credit card info we provide up front. Is this after we approve / verify charges? It doesn't say. Care to discuss?
- Invoices are generated on the first day of each month for the previous months leads.  You are given 3 days to review the invoice for accuracy and return any bad leads.  After the third day your credit card is billed for the invoice. Also, at any time during the course of the month, you may login to your account and return a lead with the "return lead" feature.

How long have you been doing this?
- I have been involved with website marketing for 9 years.  HomeInspector.com has been operational for 5 months and is growing traffic volume everyday.

Do you, as mentioned above still have alot of bugs to work out?
- We have fixed all of the issues that we are aware of with the site.  That is not to say that during the course of the next couple months we might not find some others, but overall the site is 100% operational and works like a charm.

It wouldn't let me imput that It was from the Home Inspector Pro Message Board. I would think you would want to know what the source was, not just 'other'.
- You are correct, I would want to know that.  I will try and get it added tomorrow.

I would think that the name Homeinspector.com versus Service Magic would generate more leads, no?
- Not yet, but that is the goal.  We have not been around as long but we do have a very aggressive SEO campaign in place and will be a reliable resource for you and your business for years to come.

Do you have any research stats?
- Not yet but it is my goal to make the site a valuable resource that generates positive revenue for your business.

Thank you for the great questions.  Please let me know if I missed anything.

Regards,
Ben
