TOPIC: HomeInspector.com

Anyone heard of/tried this yet?  Seems that NACHI has a deal for free membership, but paying for leads.

I'm still tossing that one around yet.

I know...$10/lead seems pretty steep...what I'm seeing right now is that people have to be price shopping.  I get more hits on my "Service Area & Pricing" page than any other, but no one is following through.  Wondering if I should change my page and include pricing, or even a starting price...or if that would just encourage them to still not call! 

Side note:  one local real estate website has over 900 homes on the market in a 10 mile radius of Rochester...and it's growing almost daily right now.  10 days ago, on a more state sized search, I came up with 29,000 homes...yesterday, it was 42,000...

Casey, Ian, I wouldn't expect much from Ben Evans with homeinspector.com yet. He has a good number of bugs to work out. I think it will be good when he gets it going.

I am getting 3 jobs a month from Service Magic and it is picking up more. Those leads cost 12.00 for a market match (3 inspectors) and 18.00 for a direct match (only me). It is not my goal to stay with them, but it sure beats sitting home.

There's lots of homes for sale out there, there's just no buyers yet!

I did a search for inspectors on the site Drew. It came up with 3 inspectors in my area. Two of them are NOT licensed as required by the State of Illinois. It is illegal in Illinois to perform home inspections without a license.
