I start writing a report by captioning and editing my photos.
Then I have to rewrite or copy those captions to add to each section in the report. For instance, I write a caption for a photo saying, "Trip hazard at front sidewalk". Then I have to copy that comment and re enter it in the section of the report for sidewalks and drives. If I have a pre written comment for it then it's fairly easy to add the photo caption and in the section of the report. But if I have to write a custom caption I have to write it twice. Is there a way to streamline this? |

Hi Tom,
Are you using HIP Mobile or the desktop only? If you're using the desktop only I recommend slotting your photos, going into the report and writing/selecting your narratives. Then go back to the photos and use the dropdown boxes that will now contain any comments you used, as well as your pre-caption comments. |

Thanks Dom,
I start the report by captioning the photos since they determine what issues I found during the inspection. The photos are essentially my notebook of the inspection. I wish the captions I write for the photos would then be available to click and add when I go to the sections to fill in comments, add to re or black etc. Make sense? Tom |

Yes, I do understand. We've had two other people request this over the years. For the most part though the captions are normally much shorter versions of the normal comments. Do you hhabe long captions?

Okay, would you use that same short & concise comment as your narrative or would you have one that's much more descriptive?
