Typically the narrative comment would be more descriptive and longer.
So the photo caption might read, " CSST gas piping installed: See notes. ". And the narrative would expand on that, noting that bonding was not observed, issues with CSST and a link to a website about CSST. |

OKay, that's what we usually see. The question then is, what does moving your caption comment to your main narratives and selecting it help if it's not the narrative you'd use? I might be missing something here so feel free to explain more!

The photographs are the record of what will go in my report.
So I write the captions first. If I have to continually refer back to the photos when I'm writing the narratives in the body of the report it just takes more time. If the photo caption was automatically available when writing those narratives it would save time, even if I had to modify it some for the narrative. |
