TOPIC: HIP mobile picture management and backup?

Looking for better ideas on ways to backup pictures from mobile reports. Any ideas?

Once you upload / download to your desktop, they are saved in the report, whether used or not.  My computer is constantly backed up.

Is there a reason you need duplicate pictures?  I used to keep all my pics in a separate file.  No longer.  Waste of time and space.  I can count on one hand the number of times I have needed to look at an old inspection photo over the last 10+ years.  Dumped all the backups.

Now if you are asking how to save a high resolution picture for use in preparing your report, that is a different issue all together.  Which is it?

HIP Mobile saves all pics and transfer to your desktop. Even pics that you take in the misc section (which won't print) are saved. There's also a new option under Settings to save a full sized copy direct on your device. As Stephen said, use Dropbox or Carbonite to backup what's back on the desktop. I use Google Photos too.

Need to use a few pictures to write the wind mitigation and 4 point. The report pics are lower quality and you can't always define that there are 3 nails in a strap or which breaker has the double tap. Granted Google photos with the automatic sync and backup is great but we use 2 people per inspection and the photos get garbled up and hard to sort. Looking for a way to have the full size image in a file on my desktop.

Set the option under Settings on HIP Mobile to save a full sized copy of the image to the device. You can then copy the folder it creates for each inspection.

Im not seeing that setting. Im on android.
