On the desktop version when I add comments the comment shows up at the bottom of the comment list. Is there any way to get the comments to show up at the top of the list?

No. They're purposely at the end as people organize their most common comments at the top and we don't want to mess that up.

When writing a report the comments that are added don't save to the template. They are only saved to that report. So wouldn't it be better to have them always go to the top? It would make it easier for me then having to go to the bottom and hunt for it. It's even more important when adding comments to a template... to have to go to the bottom and have to click the "move up" button a hundred times to get the comment to the top is a pain. ( I have a lot of comments) |

Actually they definitely save to the template! If you click Save Template, those comments will be saved. There's no reason to be editing your template separate. HIP is meant to be used where you're template grows with each inspection. Note that you can move multiple comments at once as well.

John...as Dominic said, most inspectors don't want the beginning of their "comment list" altered. If you are adding comments on the fly, typically they are less frequently used and are going to be placed near the bottom of your list.
I also have a Note comment for one-time-only comments that I don't want added to my template (Shown in pic). Its rare that I'm adding comments to the beginning of my list. Those comments are well established from many inspections. |

I just keep finding myself hitting that "move up" button all the time. Maybe it's because I'm at the beginning stages of building my template.
If I hit save template when working on a report...won't that also save the photos and client info to the template? |
