I love with Horizon how graphics can be associated to comments. For example, whenever I select "poor grading" the Carson Dunlop graphic for swales/grading is pulled into the report automatically. The other benefit is the client can choose to "drill into" the report for greater detail on an issue. This keeps the report clean and shorter. For instance, in the report Vermiculite is noted upon in some detail. Click on the word Vermiculite, and you get the full story/history.
Is this something HIP can or does do? |

Their drilling in feature is actually a legal liability according to several attorneys I've talked to (as we looked into something similar). The problem is that the actual report has to always stand on its own. We are working on a top secret feature that I think will address this in an even better way but still keep everything in the PDF.
As far as auto graphics, you can batch add . Teyour top graphics and assign them in 2-3 seconds per pic. That's what a few of our graphic heavy users do and the entire process takes less than a minute. |

Mark, I start every inspection with a base report that has about 30 graphics that I use regularly already loaded. I know exactly where they are so it takes little time to select them, and they are already pre-captioned.
The base template is nice also because I have comments that go in every report pre selected already as well. I have recently incorporated links in my report that go to my website for additional information regarding topics. |

Troy - that is a great idea, and something I have been thinking about doing. I just inserted a graphic into my standard template, uploaded and did a short mock inspection. The graphic didn't appear on my mobile device, nor did it appear when I uploaded to the cloud then to my PC.
The only other way I can figure is to create a "picture inspection", then merge the actual inspection with the "picture inspection", at which point all graphics and pre-selected comments appear. I'm missing something... |

That's great Troy! Thanks for your input. I'm sure HIP has everything I want. Maybe not always the way I work now, but work arounds are fine. And that's a good one.

Steve, the graphics are in my base report that is on my Windows version in my laptop. I do inspection with mobile device, take pics with mobile device, and then upload to laptop where I can select the graphics that I need.
