You have the top canned comments section and the bottom section is actually 2 parts.
Look at the upper box which says black ...that can be any color....and the bottom box noted as "Red" is what goes in the summary Only the red comments appear in the summary. |

Thanks Bob-
Maybe what I want is not necessarily another summary, but rather a way to have regular comments in black and suggestions in another color. Just to make them stand out. I don't think this is possible in HIP |

Steve what you are asking for is exactly what my image shows.
You can produce any color font you wish in Material or defect one comments that do not show up in the summary. If start doing that in the summary whats the point of having one ? Summary is for a punchlist of the concerns and negotiables....not maintenance tips...thats why you have a report body. (Bear in mind you can use illustrations and documents at section heads as well) |

Steve, it definitely can be done. Bob's method gives you 3 different colors and the method I mentioned gives you unlimited colors.

Remember the rule "KISS"...keep it simple stupid!!!
I see so many other competitive reports using NO color...and its difficult to find what is significant. ...and as Dominic said...beyond, black, blue, and red...it get's confusing. HIP has a natural flow that makes it easy for clients to follow. Personally...I haven't gone back to using "blue" yet. When I was a 3D user, I did use B,B & R...and eventually I may go back to 3 colors. IMHO ...Summary should not be blue items listed. |
