TOPIC: New Home Inspector Pro Mobile questions

Keep forgetting to try and time it but how long after not using or clicking on anything in the app
will it take to shut and make you re pick the nag screen option of continue inspection or go to sync,etc?

Love when it just goes straight back into the inspection automatically so was curious.

Also is there a limit to number of pictures you can take with the phones camera before the app slows down in anyway?

If you exit the app by clicking the Home button on the device itself then the app actually continues to run in the background. Then when you go back in you wont be asked if you want to reopen, you'll just go right back where you were (like minimizing on windows). If you exit by clicking Back multiple times on Android then you're actually exiting the program (like X or Exit on Windows) and you'll be asked what you want to do when you reopen the program.

Limit before slow down will really depend on phone speed and memory.

Hmmm I never exit by hitting the back button.Will try and pay close attention and make sure how I am closing out.

Just had a look at the HIP Mobile tutorial..... what a fantastic thing you have there AWSOME

Now, you might recall that I am in the habit of printing my report on site and just giving the client a CD with the photos I take during the inspection.

I really love the idea that you can take a photo while you are in a specific section (like a chimney and then caption it as you go.
Poof the photo shows up in the report where you want it.

Would it be difficult to complete the report with the phone, download it to a laptop/tablet, review and then print the report on site?

I realize the laptop would have to be connected to the internet but I bet it could be tethered  to the phone ( if I knew how to do that)

What say you?

......................Yes the first part is what it was developed for.
You can use your phone as a modem(tether) also if that is what you mean.There are a few good ones on the market or you can pay your provider for the service.
