On the summary page of the report, the "Page" doesn't always correspond to the correct page of the report. Example- "Roof Covering Materials", The summary says "Page 5 Item: C", In the report it actually appears on the 4th page. (Not the 4th page of the PDF file but the 4th page as indicated at the lower right corner of each page.)
I have noticed that this happens more when pictures are included in a section and they "spill over" to the next page. Also, I have a new Sony Vaio laptop and I am not able to "batch add" photos. Photos import OK when I select them 1 at a time. Thanks in advance for any help on this. |

OK, I figured out that it will not allow me to "add" or "batch add" photos that are a large file size like 3mb. I can "add" or "batch add" photos OK that are 100-200kb in size.

Hi Tobin,
What are the specs on your new machine? Dan has run across a few people with the same issue on the new high resolution cameras (10+ megapixels). The best thing to do for now is turn it down but I'd like to see the issue myself so I can determine a fix. I was able to import a 30 megapixels photo (actually, 200 of them) into HIP on my machine without a problem. So something about certain machines is not allowing the larger photos. As far as the summary is concerned, HIP currently lists the last page that the item is commented on in the summary. This is because most of the time when an item is split you'll end up with minor issues on one page and major on the next since major issues always come last. Sometimes if you have a lot of photos then the photos will push to another page. So the page listed is still the correct section, but just not where the red text is (as that can even spread across multiple pages). This is how the guys here voted to list the summary pages long ago but lately we've had a growing number of requests to add an option to make it the first page the item starts on. |

I never even noticed that the summary items are listed that way until I had a Realtor call it a "discrepancy" in my report. WHAT! I don't see it as an issue but my vote would be to make it the first page the item starts on, like you said. That's just one less email or phone call I can do without.
I have a Sony Vaio, Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel Core i7 CPU, 1.73GHz. I normally turn down the pic size in my camera since I don't need a large high res. picture (and it keeps the file size of the report much smaller) but I had a few pics in the same folder that were very large and that kept me from "batch adding" the file. Never had an issue either way with it on my Mac. Should of got a Macbook... I used a friends tablet in the field the other day and it really sped up the reporting time... It was soo heavy tho. I really hope you will come up with something for the Ipad in the future... I know there is a growing interest in them and they are so light weight. Thanks Dom |

The iPad still doesn't have handwriting recognition. Hopefully the next version will.
Check out the CTL2Go , it's not too heavy. |

Hey Dom, Another issue I just noticed is, on the report summary page, the title "Report Summary" is not at the top of the page. Instead, it's in with the other text about 2" below where it should be.
