Dom,
I noticed my selection comments are being shorted whether they have enough space to show or not. ? It doesn't change if I click out of the tab and re-enter. ? Could this automated shorting of the comments be changed so it leaves the full selection comment? when there is plenty of space? Also, when the HIP window is shrunk down, the space between columns is non-existent. A small gap there would help the readability of those columns. And lastly, in the generated reports the top left text in the main header is crammed up against the side. This is a bit more noticeable on my own reports because I don't use a border. I've tried adding a space at the end of my "State" but the space doesn't show up. ? Could this be moved a little? Thanks! |

Hi Cameron
You can fix this by changing your settings. Go to options/item options and change over to single column. See my examples and note I do not have that issue with my present settings. |

What Bob said You might need to save and come back in or at least flip between a few tabs.
I'll have to test the other issue, it should allow that space after the state (did you change the CLIENTS state, or yours)? |

I actually did every one of those suggestions prior to posting the issue and my colomns have been on "1" since I began using HIP. The screenshot Bob posted is of a large window with only one selection panel, mine was smaller with three total panels. I didn't specifically say this about the comments being shortened, but the issue is only when I'm using a smaller screen or window, like in my example. P.S. I also didn't add all those question marks to my original post, not sure why they are there... |

What size is your screen resolution set at?

Doubt that has much to do with it. I use HIP on two different computers, each of them with a 1600x900 res. The issue(calling it an "issue" is a bit more dramatic than it really is) is when the HIP window is made smaller the comments get shorted. Most of the time I am only using HIP, but at times I am using multiple windows at once.
I thought I would just ask about it since there is plenty of space for the comments, but they still get shortened unnecessarily. I'm actually surprised this doesn't come up with some of the guys using the smaller screens. If their comments are being shortened I would think they would want every possible letter they could get in their comments. I know I asked once about the damage panels and the comments scrolling vs. sliding to the left, but I don't remember if the selection panels are different. There are two colomns in that one selection panel(the one where I asked about a larger gap being inserted between columns), but I have it set up to only have one column. Is that an HIP pre-programed decision too? |
