TOPIC: Selection comments auto-shortened

Re: Selection comments auto-shortened 13 years 6 months ago #40950

I had to go through several templates to find one which has split panel columns like yours but was able recreate the issue you have.(9 words limit on average.
Seems you would be best off to leave comment clues at the beginning or utilize drop downs for now.

I myself do not use split panels but now see what you mean.
You of course see the whole paragraph when resting your mouse on the comment.

Are you clicking on the Reset to Default button to set the columns all back to 1 after changing the value?

No but I just went back and set the them to auto adjust which fixed it.
That is the answer Cameron.

This same 'problem' that Cameron is talking about has been an issue with me for a long time.

Thought Dominic 'fixed' it on one if his recent revisions. And, Bob is right, ("Reset to Default") does 'fixes it' for that session.

However, I find the issue returns when I start a new session.

Yep, I haven't made a change to my colomn number for a while, but that's what I was doing everytime.  I did just switch the "auto adjust" for the selection panel and it does correct it, even after a restart.  The only downside is that setting makes only one column appear in the selection panels even when I am at full screen.(see attached)  Smart space usage, that's what I crave.

I just want it all Dom.  :)

Cameron,

Based on your diagram it looks like you want 3 columns, not 1. Auto just guesses based on screen resolution.

Serge, what setting are you using and are you saving tempted after?
