It's like having a third hand!

I have one hand on the keyboard, one hand on the mouse and talk to the microphone!

As Cameron noted, it may not save you time because you are more specific in what you report because it doesn't take you that long to do an entire page of dictation.

You will notice that our posts on the message boards are generally much longer than most when we are using Dragon.

I for one do not like "hunt-and-peck" report writing so dictation is a necessity for me.

The training time and learning curve of the program is extremely short now compared to the past. I have been using dictation for about 10 years. Out-of-the-box, Dragon operates almost flawlessly after reading to it for about 5 min. (If you don't talk funny)!

So don't have a few beers just before you train it.

Or if you drink a lot, make sure to have a few beers before you train it

Train it both ways!

Yeah, you never know what state you might be in when amending a report. 

is it easier to dictate in the Dragon dictation box and transfer it or dictate right into HIP?
