TOPIC: Activity Level!

Have many of you noticed a substantial up tick in activity over the past two weeks or so?  I've had (26) inspection requests over the last (5) days.  It is absolutely nuts!  The $700K REO I was on yesterday had (26) offers in the one week its been on the market, (3) of those including my client were "All Cash".

Southern California is definitely on fire with REO's. I talked to Mike Verlingo a few days ago and he had 15 in 2 days booked.

Your client had $700k all cash? Must be nice! How much did he get you to reduce your price by, lol.

I've seen a big increase in the number of uploads across the country, mostly in southern states but Illinois and a few others are also doing really well.

I check my email in the morning, do a 3.0 hour inspection and when I check my email again two or three more inspection requests have come in.  I would say about 60-70% are coming in from the internet, at least recently.  I'm also spending a lot of time in hotels, as I've been traveling all over California.  I'm in Bakersfield right now and will head to Palmdale after my morning inspection up here.  It is a crazy time to be sure! 

Man my phone hasn't even hinted at ringing since I got back from vacation.  Oh wait, I had one call today and she was looking for someone to tell her insurance co that her roof needed to be replaced because the three adjusters they sent out said it was neglected and wouldn't cover it.

California just announced it's total population now at 38 million.  As you can imagine, we have an amazing housing industry to supply that many residents.  Down side is the cost of living and doing business in California ranks as one of the most expensive in the nation.  Our tax basis is off the chart, the state is near bankruptcy and taxes are predicted to go even higher.  I work (7) days per week, but need (5) of those days just to survive.  I'll save a little money now and then burn through it when inflation hits in 2010...
