TOPIC: New 10" CTL 2go Tablet

SO...we've all been talking about the tablet from CTL...what's the word on their new "Slate"? 

I am interested if Dom, Matt have figured how to adjust the high resolution so the stylus can work properly on My CTL2.

I am still using my Q1 as the stylus works great.  It would be nice if someone would let me know!!

I went over it this weekend with Bob Hintze (who you talked to in Florida), is mailing me his CTL2go so that I can test it. He tested mine out which is the lower resolution model and said it worked perfectly, so something is definitely changed that's affected by the higher resolution. Once I get his model I'm sure I can figure it out within a few days.

Casey, the slate comes out Friday. I'll have to see if I can get a sample sent to me. It definitely won't be anywhere near as durable as the tablet but it's a lot faster and has more ram and storage than the iPad! It comes with 2 gigs of ram stock (versus iPad 256megs).

My bro in law spent major $$$ on an IPad; it's pretty sweet, but like you said Dom it is painfully slow at times.  A review of the Slate would be cool!   

I hadn't thought about the durability factor...guess I made a bad assumption that it was "rugged" like the tablets...

The ctl2go's target was school kids, which is why it's so rugged. The slate is iPad competition so it'll be totally different. It'll still be interesting to check out though!

I haven't done a size comparison between iPad and Slate, but I'd imagine we can find a protective cover or box for them, right?  I know Otterbox has some great protectors for phones...
