TOPIC: New 10" CTL 2go Tablet

Re: New 10" CTL 2go Tablet 14 years 3 months ago #35026

If I did not already have a computer. Q1 (Works decent, no complaints, been reliable)

I would probably be upset at this point but, I do understand a lot of people have been ordering.
I hope if I have an issue with the computer it does not take days/weeks for a response, I guess I am spoiled with Doms customer service.

It will be interesting to see how much better the CTL2 is compared to the Q1.

David:

I got my CTL 2go thru Matt in early July and I was very pleased with his service and response. I would hope that all new orders get the same service. After receipt of their new tablets I am sure there will be questions and comments. The 2go works reasonably well for me but I spent a lot of time editing my Report comments, and still have work to do. I still do not use it for the exterior portion of my inspections, that is evolving. I would advise all new owners to spend as much time as they can on the handwriting recognition as it does get better with each pass thru. The bottom line for me is that whatever device you use, the key to better and quicker Reports is all in the formatting of your template/comments. I just got the InterNACHI DVD of narratives. More work to do. All the best and thanks for your participation, always relevant.

Yup, they just can't keep them in stock as we added a whole new industry to who is purchasing these. Elementary schools and now Home Inspectors :D

I have been using the CTL2go for a few months and it is great. At first there were some issues with the screen, but after some "discussions" they shipped me a complet new unit. I am using Widows 7 with 2 gig ram and so far it is great. I use 3D and have been use to the pocket ver with an Ipaq for years, but since Ipaq are no longer being manufactured I decided to look for a new product. If this holds up it will be great. I did buy the 3 year warrenty so time will tell. Just wondering those using the unit do you carry it around or set it up in one area?

I received this from Matt on the 17th of August.

Thank you for your recent order from CTL Corp.  I am happy to provide you with a status update regarding your order.  We received our shipment of units in on 8/13, and we are currently running all orders through the production schedule.  Your order will be covered out of this shipment, so you should expect your order to ship very soon.  I am not able to provide you with an exact shipping date, due to the nature of these custom built orders, but I would expect that we should have most, if not all of the current orders shipped by the end of next week.

MY RECENT order was paid for on July 18th.  ::)

Still  haven't heard anything, hopefully this week.  :'(

I received my computer yesterday. Never received any shipment notice.

I started unpacking at 11 AM. It is 130PM and it is already to use in field. Setting up was easy with minor assistance. It took me the longest to find my wireless network password.

The stylus does stick in the holder.

Nice machine. Well worth the wait. It will take time to get used to as it is much larger, heavier than my Q1.
