I still would like it if somehow we can have default comments. These would automatically always be in the report until we take them out. I have some comments that are in 95% of my reports and I find it a pain to have to keep adding them. Most of the comments are informational, like "do not store anything within 3 feet of the furnace". If we can have those always there it would be great.

Can't you already accomplish this by using a pre-filled inspection file (i.e. "generic_inspection.hzf") which is stored in the "Client Data" folder under the HIP root folder?  An inspection file is loaded with both the info saved in your panels and the template info it was created with. Instead of starting an inspection from a template, start it from this generic inspection file and immediately do a "save as" with your desired file name.   Or are you talking about something different?

Correct me Dominic if I got any of this wrong.

Add a couple of buttons on the photo page or in the photo menu which say:

"Select all - Print at end of Report"
"Select all - Use as Caption"

I can see that saving me a lot of clicks depending on the type of inspection I'm doing and how I'm using the photos.

This is what years of paper reports has gotten me.  Locked into the same comments day after day...  That makes perfect sense, I need to remember I can say what I WANT with HIP.

Hmmm...    Okay maybe not so important on the "Use as Caption" button.  I guess I was thinking for uniformity in my reports.  Actually, now I'm trying to think of a scenario when I would need the "use as caption" button(I just sat here for 5 minutes staring at the computer, my wife thinks I'm nuts) and for the life of me, I don't see where the function would be used.  I guess maybe if you print the photos at the end you might use it, but if the photos aren't tied to a section it seems a custom caption would really be needed. 

Hey, maybe what is needed is a selection box to choose both!  So you can write a descriptive caption and hit the new "Select All - Use as Caption" button and the photos would print out with a caption something like:  Grounds-Sidewalks: Major settling at north sidewalk.

I can see that being really useful if were printing your photos at the end of your reports.

Use As Caption is a cheat. If you take CYA photos like of a dishwasher, rather than write a caption (some people want to caption everything), you check the box and the caption becomes Kitchen->Dishwasher.

Printing at end of report is rare now on a normal inspection. I see ancillary services using it quite a bit though (Thermal, Septic, Pool).
