so the credit payment feature would be something we set up? or is it for folks who already do credit? and is there a way to use out paypal accounts as well?

I've spent the last 3 months negotiating with A LOT of banks and credit processors to get you guys the best credit card deal possible, lowest rates, fees, contract length, etc. I finally settled on one and we're in the finally negotiating stage right now. If you choose to use the credit card payment system via the upload service, or your website hosted by us, then you'll actually be signing up with this processor. They then give us a key we add to our system so that everything is able to be integrated. Then basically when a client pays, the money goes directly to your bank account. The processor will send you a statement each month that lists all the money you've brought in.

The rates are a LOT better than Paypal, but I have considered down the road adding paypal as a feature for people who only do a few inspections a month, anything over that and the CC feature is better. Since the Paypal version will take more programming it would definitely be something added later.

I find the notification that someone has looked at a report very unique. How will you know who has looked at it? Will the viewer enter their name?

I didn't realize that the reports could be sent diectly from the program. Until now, I have been including it as an attachment in an email. The client can forward it to whomever they wish.

Steven!! Shame on you. That's what happens when you don't read the emails I sent out. Check out the Animated Tutorial on how to upload a report. You get 3 months free of the service, then it's $20 a month. I'm sure I mentioned it to you when we talked on the phone.

The agents have to log in to view the reports and they can view all reports done by and home inspector pro inspector for THEM. That way it doesn't fill up their email inbox and they can go back and refer to them. Since they log in, I can tell you whose logged in. For the clients, they get a direct link. So you just know it's the client or someone they forwarded the link to. No way to really know 100%. I'm looking at a GeoLocation feature to try and track their IP address and get a physical location. We'll see how that goes.
