TOPIC: title change website

Hi Dom
I realize each time i search for my website on yahoo or google that the title shows WE INSPECT FOR YOU/ BUY WISE HOME INSPECTIONS / it seems that somehow or another i lost control of the title/ i really want it to say BUY WISE HOME INSPECTIONS-Palm Beach County-Delray-Boynton-Boca Raton- Ft. Lauderdale
what is the method to change this / me or web manager / advise

Hi Mike,

The second half comes from the site slogan. The first half comes from your company name when looking at your page title (what appears at the top of google and yahoo). On all the other pages it's a combo of your site name and the page title that you set when editing the page. Right now your site slogan is Inspections are our Business. Change that under Site Information. You can then remove the code you added into the mission statement that's appearing at the top.

Then remember any change you make could take a few weeks to be reflected on the search engines. They don't look at every site every day. The newer and smaller the site the less often they look at it. Ours for example is crawled a few hundred times a day, but the average inspector site with a ton of incoming links will be crawled every 2-3 days and then it takes time for them to update the listing. So don't expect the change to be immediately reflected by the search engine.

deleted the content site slogan/ and removed codes/ i guess im trying to outplay my competition/ mtc home inspections who seems to have a bit of a corner on the market/ would like to have buy wise home inspections on the same level/ seemed the (inspections are our business ) was clouding it/ am I wrong / this way its between Buy Wise and MTC both having home inspections following/ advise plz

You're doing well. The most important thing is to keep adding content, link swapping and be patient. Google wants your site to be a few months old (6 is the average) before it starts boosting you up to page one for city searches.
