That's fair guess I will just have to find the time somewhere. Read tutorials and such. I do know that a web site is marketing and also know that the public have the attention span of a Nat. You could be #1 in Google but if your website isnt unique or looks boring or bland people will just click on the next guy till they find something slick and professional looking.

Shane, this site is full of extremely helpful guys, ESPECIALLY Mike. This isn't the NACHI forums where half the guys are helpful and half act like idiots.  Take the chip off your shoulder you carried over from there (don't worry, many have carried it over with them). Mike was posting to help you, that's it. What Mike was telling you is that you can take any of our themes, change the images to look like whatever you want and you're set.

Clients are only going to look at 2 or 3 sites max. While you may look at tons of sites and see a guy with a clipboard, clients don't. You have to remember, there's a huge different between your perspective and theirs.

Looks at Mike's theme at www.orlandparkhomeinspections.com/ which is #1 in many cities.
www.denversbesthomeinspector.com/ is #1 in Denver (both have similar to default header)
www.thetemeculainspector.com/ is #1 in Temecula and totally changed his header image (Mike did this if I remember right).

How about the difference between these 2 (same theme!): www.northlandhome.com/ and www.vanguardhomeinspections.com/ . Or www.homeinspectionman.com www.inspectutah.com/ and www.radonutah.com

The other thing Mike was pointing out is that your site must discuss home inspections. This entire job is a niche market, especially with this economy. If you're focusing on a niche of a tiny market you won't last long. If you want to make your site look different but the content still involves the keywords people focus on then, great! Create separate pages for different content. Heck, create a separate site for your niche.

When people search Google in your area they are looking for a Toronto Home Inspector. Ask some non inspectors what they think a home inspector looks like.

Yup I agree with you Dominic. I apologize to Mike. I do have a chip on my shoulder you are right. Seems to be EVERY time I ask a question instead of getting an answer I get grinded down with something that has nothing to do with it. You can see that when mike gave me that response I was like "here we go again". I took it wrong and am very sorry about that. I'm so damned sick of having to defend every little thing I do so I'm admit I am way too defensive. Internachi has trained me well to wear armor all the time. I am so SORRY mike, when you have a dream or idea and don't know how to express it it can be very frustrating. I was wrong, thanks Dominic for putting me strait. I will try from now on to remember this isn't internachi.

Also I'm sitting in the hospital waiting to get stitches and a tetnis shot for 3 hours now. So I guess I'm a little crusty. Now I feel like a crusty douchebag lol.

No problem Shane. Like I said, it happens OFTEN with guys that come from over there. The few times we've had guys like that here, they got booted. In the last 5 years I think that's happened twice.

Keep looking for themes you like. If the one you posted earlier is the one, it's no problem we can get that one installed for you.
