TOPIC: Making your website mobile

Making your website mobile 13 years 10 months ago #38729

With people today using their mobile phones more and more often to acces the internet it seems like a good idea to have a website that is compatible with this, in fact I have been reading quite a bit about it lately. My question is how do we do that?

P.S. Dominic, I fixed the news feed thing, but I still have not figured out how to add my AR blog to my online blog. Or do I need to add this manually-perhaps I should just quit being lazy and do it! ;) I understand the SEO aspect of the blogs, but figured it would be nice for people to read or post if they wanted to.

Hi Wesley,

Actually all your sites automatically scale for smart phones. People are actually moving away from mobile only sites as iPhone & Android users want fully functional sites, not limited ones. Pull up your site on your phone and check it out. We've discussed adding in an option for people and might do it down the road, but the days of making a mobile site for old phone browsers are going away.

What's your AR Blog link?

I meant my Active Rain Blog. I was able to stream it to the news section but not to my blog page.

I checked my site on my phone and my wifes phone. My phone is a black Jack and it didn't look good at all, but my wife has an Iphone and it looked great! I will be getting an Iphone soon, especially with all the new aps coming out for it that apply to home inspecting.

The crackberry's browser is still the weakest of the three but I'm sure that will be changing soon. As you noticed, it looks great on newer phones.

You won't be able to have your blog page automatically updated. You'd need to copy/paste the blog into the site.
