I'm doing it right, or wrong?

•The menu system stores system paths only, but will use the URL alias for display. burlington-vermont-home-inspection.html has been stored as node/1
•The configuration options have been saved.

Yup, that's correct. That means the name of the page to the public is burlington-vermont-home-inspection.html. If you want to reference the page in blocks (where you can tell a block not to appear on certain pages), use node/1 instead.
