TOPIC: Credit card tutorial?

We have gotten our forms back from the credit card acceptance company.

I want to be able to accept cards online, but I am having trouble fing a tutorial on this... Is there one?

You bet Dominic! Everything is emailed and you have to take a College course to figure it all out! Whats up with having to log into 3 different websites to deal with a simple cc transaction? All of this is just not worth it. Can you explain why we pay you thru Pay Pal? Seems to me this PP is 100% easy to use compared to the cc  . Your thoughts on this would help.

Why do you need 3 sites? You insert the code in your website and you're done. The only reason you'd need to log into another site is once every few months to update your password. That's a federal regulation as part of PCI Compliance that now requires passwords to be changed every 60 days after a few hundred million credit card numbers were stolen last year.

We accept paypal because of the monthly recurring billing which is easier on paypal for you guys to update your CC info if you change cards. We use payfuse for software purchases when guys are on the 3 month payment plan and when guys want to pay for a year in advance as the rate is more than a whole percent lower. With paypal you're taking people off your website, you can't process cards on your phone unless you go through the same PCI compliance and multiple websites as well (as soon as you're processing cards PCI kicks in).

I finished all the compliance requirements, and had my training over the phone.
We like it so much that we are going to drop Linkpoint as a merchant account.
With this system the more information we put on the forms the less we pay!
