Theme 2 and nachi image questions 16 years 2 weeks ago #559

Hi Patrick,

Ok, you lead me to make a big adjustment in theme 2. First I stretched out the space for the company name at the top which you can see on your site now. I also added a region below it called header. Now anyone using theme 2 can add a block to the header region (click Blocks under the admin menu) and it will appear up top. You could even turn off the company name in your theme configuration and use a block instead. I created a block for you and added it just to show you. If you go to blocks you can edit it. It looks good on my end in Firefox and IE, but let me know if you see anything. If others want to see, Patrick's site is www.wisemanhomeinspections.com

I'm still working on the image issue on the left. Will let you know when I have that down. I have to finish a few updates in the software so I can release this weekend so I'll work on the theme more tonight.

Hi Dominic:

I was able to remove the numbers and add a line on firefox only. The numbers never appeared on IE. IE still has a image box without a image in the center of the Header.

How can I change that photo? Is there a clip file I can use without specific authorization?

Hi Patrick,

If the numbers didn't appear in IE that just means that IE is 'caching' files. Internet browsers save files to the local computer to save speed and not download the files again for awhile. To force a change you can try holding down the shift key then clicking on refresh. You can also try to go to Tool->Delete Browsing History and delete the temporary internet files, then do a shift refresh. You should see the same thing in firefox after that.

As of right now the themes that have images on them are fixed images. I am working on making multiple versions of each theme where you will be able to replace certain images, and where themes will include association logos, etc. For now just get everything setup the way you want then you can easily switch themes after.

Patrick,

I figured out the issues with theme 2 and the images in the left column and have resolved it. The logo is now centered (clicked on the image in the editor and clicked the center justify button) properly. Let me know if you have any more issues!
